Robot Gripper

Industrial robot grippers are end-effectors installed on the robot arm to grasp, move and assemble workpieces. Common types of industrial robot grippers include:

  • Parallel grippers: two parallel metal plates that open and close through cylinders or motors to clamp flat workpieces.
  • Angular grippers: like pliers, grip objects through the articulated motion of two metal plates. Suitable for various shaped workpieces.
  • Vacuum suction cups: utilize vacuum to suck and hold workpieces for transfer, suitable for flat and smooth surfaces.
  • Magnetic grippers: use permanent magnets to generate magnetic force to attract ferrous workpieces, not sensitive to surface textures.
  • Multi-fingered hands: mimic human hands, flexibly grip different shaped workpieces through coordinated finger motions.
